Riley - "I don't look at (streaks) very much" by DAN NORZ of BeaverFootball.com, November 6, 2009 at 12:27am ET
Mike Riley Profile
Oregon State hasn't lost in Berkeley since 1993. A large part of the
success can be attributed to a bruising ground game.
In the last four victories in Memorial Stadium an Oregon State running back
has topped the 100-yard mark and scored at least two touchdowns:
- Oct. 13, 2007 – Yvenson Bernard -- 33 att,,110 yds, 2 TDs
- Oct. 15, 2005 – Yvenson Bernard, 42 att, 194 yds, 2 TDs
- Oct. 4 2003 – Steven Jackson – 35 att., 227 yds, 2 TDs
- Nov. 11, 2001 – Ken Simonton – 17 att., 125 yds, 3 TDs
But head coach Mike Riley says streaks don't mean a thing.
"I don't look at (streaks) very much," said Mike Riley who is 4-4 versus Cal.
"There has been a common denominator in the fact that we have run the ball well
and we've played a lot of good defense."
