| His athletic ability and hands as a long wide receiver really translate well to his play as a safety, where he adds awareness and surprising tackling fundamentals to his game. An elite free safety normally has trouble with open field tackles, but Allen plays just as well in the running game in the box and coming up from the deep third. Not incredible speed, but more than enough to get the job done. Amazing at attacking the ball in the air. |

2008: Allen ended his junior season with 42 receptions for 709 yards and 11 touchdowns and 554 yards and eight touchdowns on 64 rushes. He also threw three passes, completing all three, for 50 yards and a score. Defensively, Allen posted 48 tackles and nine interceptions.
Allen is slated to return to wide receiver on offense, and remain at safety on defense for his senior season.
2007: Allen collected 800 yards rushing and eight touchdowns, and 640 yards and 12 touchdowns in receptions. He also recorded 50 tackles and four interceptions.
