| The best example of watching Telfer, the football player and not just Telfer the prospect, is his blocking ability. Players new to the game are rarely as good a blocker as Telfer. He uses his hands well, extends his arms, uses great leverage and keeps his feet moving to generate the angle to best move his defender in the direction Telfer wants him to go. |

| During his junior season at Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) helped lead the Cougars to the CIF-SS title and the Baseline League title, catching 42 passes for 678 yards and five touchdowns. He was an all-CIF, all-Baseline League and all-Inland Valley pick. |
