Biography:
His season now ended due to a knee injury, Galloway remains one of the most respected members of the squad. Ahmaad was the leading rusher on the SEC’s best running team last year. He rushed for 881 yards (174 carries, 5.1 yards per) and had 100-yard games against Vanderbilt, Auburn and Southern Miss. He was also Bama’s leading rusher as a sophomore with 659 yards. After redshirting in 1998 he played sparingly as a freshman in 1999. He was winner of the Dixie Howell Award as most valuable player in the A-Day Game as he rushed 16 times for 107 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 44 yards. He also won the award in 2001. He was also a winner of the “Sylvester Croom Commitment To Excellence Award” for the second straight year.
