| Vernon lacks ideal height (6-2) and missed most of his senior season because of an injury but the kid can flat out rush the passer. He has tremendous quickness upfield and his feet are about as light as you'll see at this level for a kid his size. He has some big time upside as a pass rusher at the defensive end position. -- Mike Bakas |

2008: Vernon was injured in the first game of the year and missed the remainder of the season. He was named to Mobile Press Register's Super Southeast 120.
2007: Vernon made 52 tackles, 32 solos, 12.5 sacks and 21 tackles for loss.
