| With a great frame, good balance, power, speed, vision, and acceleration, it's hard to find an area for improvement with Ealey. He does everything well, including being a lead blocker when he lines up at fullback. He can go between the tackles and he can beat a defender to the corner. 2008: Ealey rushed for 2,825 yards on 305 carries and scored 41 touchdowns on his way to AJC and ASWA 1A Offensive Player of the Year honors. He was GSWA Player of the Year as a junior which was the first time an underclassmen had been chosen.
He was also honored with Parade All-American selection, Orlando Sentinel All-Southern (Georgia) Team and Dixie Dozen (top 12 in the southeast), GSWA All-State Class A RB. Under Armour All-Star Game.
Ealey finished his carreer with a record 138 touchdowns (previous record 111) and 8,105 yards rushing.
Ealey owns the Georgia state record for touchdowns in a season. With a 280 yard and four touchdown performance in the Semi-Finals, Ealey ran his running total to 55 with one game to go in his junior campaign. He finished his junior season with 2,982 yards rushing and a state record 58 touchdowns (previous record was 46). |
