| Biography: |
As a junior, Chris Harper threw for approximately 500 yards and ran for about another 1,000 - 20 total touchdowns. Harper is a player who could play a number of positions at the collegiate level and could also be a serious basketball recruit as well; he benches 315 pounds, squats 450 and has claims a 40-inch vertical jump.
Final Senior (8-3) stats: 950 yards passing for 10 touchdowns and a 73 percent completion percentage; approximately 600 yards on the ground and nine touchdowns rushing.
Harper reports a 3.0 core GPA and an 18 ACT.
Harper: "I played running back as a freshman, but everyone is recruiting me for either quarterback or wide receiver. I like playing quarterback the most. I like having the ball in my hands and I like the pressure. I have a strong arm and great vision. Plus I can take off and run too. I have great size and speed. We run the ball a lot because we have great running backs and I want to work on spreading the ball around more and improve my pass yards."
