Beasley racked up 129 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and six sacks en route to
all-area and 4A all-state honors as a junior. He chose the Wolfpack over offers
from Maryland, Florida Atlantic, Southern Miss, South Florida, Middle Tennessee
State and Iowa State.
Scouting Report: "William Beasley plays linebacker roles for his team both inside and
outside depending on the scheme and does a good job maintaining his
responsibilities for the team.
"A downhill player, Beasley loves to make plays
behind the line of scrimmage. He could play in a 3-4 defense as an inside
linebacker or, and probably a better fit, as a strongside linebacker in
a 4-3 defense.
"Beasley sheds blockers well and a very physical player, though
he has a high pad level often before the point of attack. He hits with
strength and shows a lot of strength in his lower body. He is not great speed
sideline-to-sideline, but has very good acceleration over five yards and
makes up ground quickly. Beasley can make a play from the weakside with a good
motor." -- Scout.com Recruiting Analyst Miller Safrit
