| Hopkins uses his hands well at the line of scrimmage to disengage from blockers, has a variety of moves to get penetration into the backfield and is absolutely relentless in pursuit of the ball carrier. He plays with a low base, can get skinny to get inside the tackle’s post leg and finishes his tackles with authority. Hopkins is a bit slight and will need to add some weight, however he does not have many flaws. |

As a junior, Hopkins was named first-team All-Region and All-District.
As a sophomore, he received the same honors after recording 66 tackles and seven sacks. |
