| LaMichael James led Liberty-Eylau to the 3A state title last year and ran for 1,600 yards, had another 500 yards receiving and had 19 total touchdowns. James is a threat everywhere that he is on the field and he is known to line up all over the field. He was a first team all-district selection, was the district 16-3A MVP and was a second team all-state selection; bench presses 305 pounds, squats 485 and vertical jumps 36"
Final senior (6-4) stats: 2,043 yards rushing and 26 touchdowns.
James reports a 2.9 core GPA and a 16 ACT, which he retook on Dec. 8.
James: "I have great speed and vision. I'm an all-around back. I play like Reggie Bush because I'm not very big, but can catch and am very fast.
"I know I can't do anything about my size, but I'd love to be taller. Also I want to keep working on my speed and footwork."
