| Longo is a very good player against the run. He gets off blocks very well and shows a great burst or closing speed in the box. Longo plays with aggression and a high motor. He can be quick off the ball and explosive at times. Longo is a rangy player that moves well, both downhill and laterally. He does a nice job of rushing the passer as well and plays in the opponent’s backfield. |
| Biography: |
| One of the top defensive end prospects in South Florida for the Class of 2008, Longo was outstanding as a junior. He finished the season with 125 tackles, 17 for loss, and eight quarterback sacks.
That included a 23-tackle performance against Naples. He was among the most active defensive end in the entire state last season; Longo benches 330 pounds, squats 500 and has a 34.5-inch vertical jump.
Longo: "I'm explosive off the ball and have a quick pass rush. I'm a good run stopper and am great coming off blocks, but I want to work on coming off the edge a bit more. I'm working on getting a little bigger too."
