| Clancy played a lot of safety in high school and is a wrap up tackler that hits with force and is very aggressive in run support. He takes good angles to the ball and shows nice straight line speed. He really plays like a linebacker, hence his position switch when he gets to BC. When he gets to a ball carrier, he really shows some pop in his tackles and is relentless in pursuit of the ball. He could work on his hips a bit in coverage situations. |

| Nick Clancy follows in the footsteps of recent Hilltopper linebackers Mike Goolsby (Notre Dame), Chris Jeske (Northwestern) and Kevin Rouse (Wisconsin). Clancy will be a three-year varsity starter in 2007. He has an older brother who plays TE for Ball State. Projects as a linebacker at the next level. |
