| As a sophomore, Zaviar Gooden collected 50 tackles and two interceptions.
As a junior Gooden rushed for over 850 yards and 10 touchdowns. He earned first team all-district honors as a safety and second team for running back.
Final senior (12-4) stats: 110 yards rushing for 10 touchdowns. He also had two interceptions and one fumble recovery.
Gooden reports a 3.7 core GPA and an 880 SAT.
Gooden: "I think I'm just a tough player. I've got great speed, quickness and agility. I can accelerate and I cover great. I can jam and pressure the wide receiver and am a good tackler. I have great awareness and just go after the ball.
"I need to get a little bigger and be a bit more physical. I want to work on my technique and improve my hip flexibility."
