| Johnson is a north-south runner that is at his best running between the tackles. He is a downhill runner and once he gets his shoulders square he is a load to bring down. Johnson has great leg drive and can move a pile. He also gives great effort and finishes runs well. At times he can be elusive in the open field. Johnson appears to have good speed, vision and balance. He also shows good hands catching the ball out of the backfield. |

| Johnson carried the ball 76 times for 1100 yards and 26 touchdowns on his way to earning first team all-state honors as a junior.
As a sophomore Johnson rushed for nearly 800 yards on 91 carries and eight touchdowns. He added another 185 yards receiving and a touchdown.
Defensively Johnson racked up 36 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, six sacks and one interception.
He was named sophomore of the year as well as newcomer of the year for his region. |
