The mammoth The 6' 8", 250 pound defensive end for Mississippi Gulf Coast CC is back home in Baltimore (MD) waiting to start school back in July.

"I got out about a week ago." added Wayne Dorsey. "Everything went good this semester. I have 42 yours now, and I am taking 9 this summer. I will only need four classes in the Fall to graduate."

Wayne already held offers from Ole Miss, MSU, and Tennessee but a few more are trying to get in the mix as well.

"USM sent me a written offer. I have also been talking to Georgia, Michigan, and Auburn. Auburn wants me to come in and be the guy. They gave me a verbal offer. Georgia and Michigan want me to come visit real bad. I have heard from LSU too. I have not gotten them in writing, but I consider that an offer. They say they want me to come in and be that guy. But you know how that goes. You really can't take it too serious until they put in writing. They can't really start talking to us until August 1st. South Florida and Iowa State have been contacting me a lot lately too."

What is going on with the schools who have put their offers in writing?

Ole Miss - "Everything is going good with Ole Miss. I had a good talk with Coach Nutt a couple of days ago. He is real cool. Everything I talked to him about on the phone makes me look at them differently. Coach Nutt is just real/real cool. He is a funny guy, always has you laughing. I am going to call him back in a couple of days."

What was the conversation about between Wayne and Coach Nutt?

"I had not talked to him before, so I finally got a chance to talk to him on the phone. We had a good conversation. We talked about his plan to build a national championship team, and he wants me to help him get there. He told me about all of their ends that are leaving. Personally, he said Ole Miss was the best situation for me, but he wants me to come see it for myself. When I report back to summer workouts in July, I am going over there for the weekend and see what it is all about. I have never been there before so I am excited to see the campus and to see what is going on up there because I like everything else there is to like about those guys."

Tennessee - "Coach (Frank) Wilson is the person I talk to for Tennessee. I have spoken with Coach Orgeron once. To be honest, I really have not been talking to them lately. When the recruiting season first started, I was talking to Coach Wilson every week, but I have not been talking to them since the week I left. I do not know if they are not interested in me anymore. If not, so be it."

MSU - "MSU says it is a good situation for me. Coach (Les) Koenning is recruiting me, but I talk to Coach Mullen more than everybody else from State. He told me that LB Chris White and PK Sean Brauchle are starting now. They played with me at MS Gulf Coast CC last year. Brauchle is just who he is, and Chris is a good player as well. He told me I could have the same success at MSU."

Which schools are staying in phone contact with Wayne the most?

"Ole Miss, MSU, and Georgia."

What is going on with Georgia?

"I talk to Coach Martinez (DL coach) a lot. They pretty much told me a what Georgia could offer. It is the same situation as Ole Miss, they are losing most of their rotation, and they want me to be their guy to fill that void and be an impact player. They want to get me down there and see the campus for myself."

Another SEC school is also trying to get in the mix?

"Alabama is trying to get me down there too. They are saying the same thing. Their coach did not want to tell me anything about Alabama. He wanted me to see it for myself. The guy who recruits me for Alabama coached with my defensive coordinator at MS Gulf Coast CC, so they have that connection. He came in and was saying the same things. He told me he was going to give me a call. They want me and DT James Carmon and FS Damien Jackson to come over there and be impact players."

One more college is also staying on Dorsey's mind.

"Coach (Jay) Hopson keeps in contact with me a lot. He wants to get me up there to see the campus. I want to get up there soon. I am interested to see what they have to offer. I think it could be a good fit for me.

In the meantime, Wayne only has one thing on his mind.

"I am working out with my old high school coach and a speed and strength coach. I am just getting ready to get back down (MS Gulf Coast CC) there. I want to report at 262. I am at 250 right now. I want to put on some good weight, not just weight. I want to keep my speed."
