So many sports and so little time. As football season nears its end and basketball season is heating up, the sports make accommodations for starting times. In the Southeastern Conference, that means waiting for television to set the schedule.
On Monday it was announced that the

Mississippi State
football game a week from Saturday, on November 14 in Starkville, will kick off at 6 p.m. CST to be televised either by ESPN or ESPN2. The network will be selected following this Saturday’s games.
November 14 is also the date of Alabama’s official season-opening basketball game and the beginning of the Anthony Grant era. On Tuesday, The University announced that tipoff for that game against Cornell will be at 1 p.m. CST in Coleman Coliseum.
Alabama does have two exhibition games prior to the Cornell game. The Tide will host Montevallo at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and will host Augusta State at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 10.
In football, The SEC also announced the Auburn-Georgia game will also kickoff at 6 p.m. and will be carried on either ESPN or espn2 on November 14.
Other SEC football games to be televised on Saturday, November 14, include
Tennessee
at Mississippi (11 a.m. on CBS),
Kentucky
at
Vanderbilt
(11:21 a.m. on the SEC Network),
Florida
at
South Carolina
(2:30 p.m. on CBS),
Louisiana Tech
at
LSU
(6 p.m. on ESPNU) and
Troy
at
Arkansas
(6:30 p.m. on CSS).
The Alabama-Cornell basketball game will be the season opener for both squads as well as Grant’s debut with the Crimson Tide. Grant returns four starters and seven returnees from last year’s team, including preseason All-SEC selection
JaMychal Green
to host the two-time defending Ivy League champions.
Tickets for the season opener are available at www.rolltide.com
or by calling the athletic ticket office at 205-348-BAMA
