Eddie Lacy on his way to Tuscaloosa

Eddie Lacy, four-star running back from Geismar-Dutchtown, La., has been waiting for the news to arrive from the NCAA Clearinghouse after completing two summer classes. The Tide signee was excited Wednesday morning.

"Coach Burns called this morning and told me I had been cleared by the NCAA," Eddie Lacy said. "I will be in Tuscaloosa tonight."

"I'm so excited and had just been waiting to hear the final word. My bags have been packed."
