Jermaine Preyear, running back from Davidson High School in Mobile, Ala. signed with Alabama in 2008, but enrollment was delayed until January 2009 to go through rehab on torn ligaments in his right shoulder.

Preyear rushed for 1,020 yards on 128 carries and caught eight passes for 142 yards. He scored nine touchdowns in his senior year of high school.
