The Gadsden City duo of Dre Kirkpatrick and Kendall Kelly are set to arrive Friday afternoon. Alabama has recruited the stellar prospects since their junior year and looking like the team to beat for each.
Kelly was injured for most of the season, and Kirkpatrick suffed a few nicks and bumps during the year as well including a fractured hand in San Antonio.
Patrick will take his first official visit to Alabama and does not have any other trips scheduled at this point.
Alabama would like to add another safety to this class, and Darren Myles, four-star from Atlanta-Carver, Ga., is possibly the top choice. Myles expects to make a decision closer to signing day, but could announce a decision following his trip to Tuscaloosa. Myles has already visited LSU, and his decision likely between the Tide and Tigers.
Bring on the Mississippi Trio
A lot of attention in the Magnolia State has featured Chad Bumphis, four-star wide receiver from Tupelo, Fletcher Cox, four-star defensive end from Yazoo City, and Pat Patterson, three-star wide receiver from Macon-Noxubee County.
Patterson is climbing the charts and may earn a spot in the Scout.com National 100 before signing day. He cancelled an official visit to Auburn to trip to Alabama instead. The Auburn coaching staff made a final push Tuesday night, but they are no longer in the picture. Patterson plans to visit Ole Miss, Southern Miss and Tennessee before making a final decision.
A new name to the recruiting scene for the Tide is Greg Reid, four-star cornerback from Valdosta-Lowndes, Ga. Reid originally committed to Florida, but decided to re-open his recruitment. He plans to visit Georgia and Mississippi State as well.
Alabama will host several of their commitments including a few players who still plan to visit other schools.
The in-state commitments visiting include D.J. Fluker, four-star offensive tackle from Foley, Quinton Dial, three-star defensive tackle from Clay-Chalkville and Gerald West, three-star cornerback from Faith Academy in Mobile.
Richardson has trips scheduled to Florida, LSU and Tennessee. He expects a final decision after the last official visit, but Richardson feels comfortable about his commitment to Alabama.
Fluker plans to take other official visits, but he has not scheduled anything at this point. Texas Tech and LSU are a couple of schools eager to receive a visit before signing day.
