The United States national team will play in the semifinals of the FIBA Under 18 Aemricas tournament in Formosa, Argentina tonight. The USA is 3-0 in part because of an incoming Crimson Tide player.

JaMychal Green, an incoming freshman from Montgomery, will play for Coach Mark Gottfried's Alabama basketball team in a few months. For now he's doing very well for the USA.

He leads the FIBA Americas Championships (8 teams) in field goal percentage. He’s shooting 73.3 per cent (11-15) after three games going into tonight’s semifinals against Canada.

He ranks 18th in scoring (9.7) and is tied for 13th (6.0) in rebounding.

He is tied for third in free throw percentage at 97.5 per cent (7-8).

He is tied for fourth in blocked shots at 2.33 per game. He has blocked seven, including four in Wednesday night's win against Puerto Rico.
