Andrew Bone Earns New Scout Position

Andrew Bone is well known to readers of 'BAMA Magazine, BamaMag.com and Scout-South.com. His excellent work has not gone unnoticed by Scout Media and Bone has been given expanded responsibilities with the organization.

Bone has been elevated to Scout Media assistant regional manager for coverage of recruiting.

Scott Kennedy, director of on-line programing for Scout, announced the promotion. Kennedy said, "Andrew has been working with Scout for the better part of five years. He is tireless in tracking down recruiting stories and producing content for each of our sites."

Bone has been the chief recruiting expert for prospects in the state of Alabama almost since he was a prospect as a senior at Westbrook Christian in Rainbow City. The Gadsden native was a high school teammate (and favorite receiver) of former Bama quarterback Brodie Croyle.

Throughout his career as a student at Alabama, Bone has been an exceptional worker in covering recruiting. In addition to covering players recruited by Alabama, Auburn and the rest of the Southeastern Conference, he has been the recruiting expert for 'BAMA Magazine and BamaMag.com. In recent years he was publisher of his own Scout web site, Scout-South.com He also writes a weekly recruiting column for the Tuscaloosa News and is a frequent guest on radio and television sports shows.

"Andrew has been an exceptional asset for 'BAMA Magazine and BamaMag.com," said Kirk McNair, who is editor and publisher of the magazine and web site. "He has consistently been the most accurate reporter of recruiting in the state of Alabama and by The University of Alabama. There is no doubt his career as a fine player has made him a good judge of prospects.

Bone has been more than a reporter for Scout. He is a regular in assisting with the Scout combine series.

Burke Hayes is new to Scout as the Regional Manager, and Bone will be his assistant regional manager. Kennedy said, "His is coverage area will include Alabama, South Georgia and North Florida, along with the daily duties that happen behind the scenes with creating the Scout Recruiting product in the South."
