Tide's Hall Selected For Fans' Honor
Senior Alabama wide receiver D.J. Hall, who is probably going to get a lot of awards before this season ends, was selected in the poll.
This is Hall's first win as the AT&T All-America Player of the Week. Hall had 13 receptions for 185 yards and two touchdowns in Alabama's 41-17 upset over Tennessee. He received 54 percent of the votes to beat out University of Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart (24 percent), Tulane University running back Matt Forte (12 percent) and UCLA corner back Alterraun Verner (10 percent).
"AT&T congratulates Hall on winning the AT&T All-America Player of the Week," said Dave Garver, executive director of Business Development and Wireless Sponsorships for AT&T's wireless unit. "Fans have only five more weeks to make their voices heard and help select the AT&T All-America Player of the Week in the only fan-determined national college football award."
Fans can register to vote for the AT&T All-America Player of the Week throughout the season by text messaging VOTE to 87654 from a wireless phone. The four candidates for the award are revealed each Sunday on the 9 a.m. ET ESPN "SportsCenter," via text message alerts and on the Web at www.espnallamerica.com. Fans then have until 11:59 p.m. ET on the following Wednesday to participate in the voting. The winner is announced at halftime during Thursday's ESPN College Football Primetime Presented by Applebee's college football game.
