Brian Motley Out for Several Weeks

Posted Aug 29, 2007

The University of Alabama head coach said today redshirt freshman Brian Motley has a broken ankle and is out six-eight weeks.

Motley was announced as the starting nose guard against Western Carolina when depth charts were presented at this week's press conference Monday.

Lorenzo Washington is in the two-deep rotation and will get the nod for Saturday's game. True freshmen Alfred McCullough (Athens) and Josh Chapman (Hoover) are the next nose guards on the depth chart.

The injuries continue for the Motley as he already sports a cast on his right hand/wrist due to an earlier surgery.
