Prothro Surgery

University of Alabama senior football player Tyrone Prothro underwent a surgical procedure on his left leg and ankle last Thursday, March 22, the University of Alabama said in statement released through its media relations department Monday.

The procedure, performed by Dr. Les Fowler at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, was for the purpose of removing scar tissue which was restricting range of motion of his ankle.

It is hoped that the procedure will facilitate further improvement in his ongoing rehabilitation of a compound fracture he suffered on October 1, 2005.
