Tennessee Commitment Talking with Alabama

Tennessee Commitment Talking with Alabama

Scout.com spoke with four-star Tennessee commitment Chris Walker about the new coaches calling and visiting. Alabama is not the only school after the Volunteer pledge from Christian Brothers High School.

"Coach Kevin Steele (Alabama defensive coordinator) came to my basketball game last night," Chris Walker said from Memphis, (Tenn.) "He sat with my mom and talked to her during the game. He hung around after the game and met my teammates."

"Coach Saban called me at 8 PM tonight and told me he had heard a lot about me, That he had watched me, and he thought I was one of the best linebackers in the country. He told me he thought I could play early and really help the team out."

"Coach Saban will come to my home for a visit Wednesday. He just wants to talk to me about me possibly visiting Alabama."

"I have made a commitment to Tennessee, and I'm still very strong in my commitment to them."

Walker is a hot commodity and another school is calling as well.

"The coach at Michigan has called me," he said. They are supposed to come by next week sometime."

Chris Walker said the recruiting process has been fun, but at the same time stressful.

"That's why I wanted to go ahead and commit—to relieve some of the pressure," he said. "But, a lot of people have followed me the entire way, I feel that I owe it to some of them to talk to them."

Scout.com appreciates Chris Walker taking the time to speak with us as well.
