Madison to Play in Hula Bowl

Alabama senior cornerback Anthony Madison received an invitation to the 2006 Hula Bowl played in Hawaii on January 21 of next year, he told Tuesday, making him the seventh Crimson Tide senior to be invited to a post-season All-Star game.

"It's exciting man. Any chance I get to play a little more football, I'm excited," Madison said.

Mark Anderson, Brodie Croyle, Roman Harper, Freddie Roach and DeMeco Ryans all received invitations to play in the Senior Bowl in Mobile on January 28th, and Charle Peprah received an invitation to the East-West Shrine Game in San Antonio, Texas on the January 21st.

Auburn's Tommy Tuberville is scheduled as the coach of the Hula Bowl's East team and Washington's Tyrone Willingham is slated to coach the West squad.

Madison has started 36 consecutive games for Alabama and had five passes broken up on the year. he was Alabama's leader in interceptions in 2004 and had a 14 breakups. Recommended Stories
