Earl Alexander, from Central Phenix City is one of the top athletes in the state of Alabama. The 6-5, 210 pound standout is explosive, and one of the most exciting dual threat quarterbacks in the south. Alexander has received two big offers and more are sure to follow.

"I have two offers. Louisville and Alabama have both offered. Louisville offered me towards the end of February. Alabama offered me about three weeks ago. I was very excited when I received the offers. Those are two schools I am really interested in, and I would love to attend. I want to check them out, and learn everything about their campus and football program," said Earl Alexander.

Several schools are showing strong interest in the talented athlete. Alexander passed for over 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior, and he has an early top five.

"Tennessee, LSU, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Arkansas, Illinois, and Clemson are showing a lot of interest. I would have to say Louisville, Tennessee, LSU, and of course, Alabama and Auburn are my top five schools. I am wide open right now, but I grew up an Alabama fan. I am not saying I dislike Auburn, but if the two played, I would have to cheer for Alabama."

Alexander did not get a chance to attend any spring games, but did drive to Auburn one day to attend practice.

"It was real nice. It was like one of our practices, but a lot faster and bigger guys. It was up tempo, and I really enjoyed it."

After starting in the Junior All-Star game, Alexander knows what he needs to improve before his senior season. His strengths have garnered the scholarship offers.

"I would have to say my strengths are being able to see over the line, and not getting balls knocked down by lineman. I am able to scramble, but I know I have a lot to learn. I am a dual-threat quarterback. The main thing I need to work on before the season begins is recognizing disguise coverages," said Alexander.

Several key aspects will play into his college decision.

"I am going to look for an offense that I fit in. I am going to look at the quarterbacks that are there now, and see when the earliest time for me to get on the field will be."

Alexander plans to camp at Louisville, Auburn, Clemson, Alabama, and the Scout.com Combine in Auburn.
