Cole Harvey, 6-3, 260 pounds, is a two-star center from Lincoln High in Tallahassee.
He expects to be a grayshirt, meaning he will likely delay full time enrollment in the University until 2006.
"The plan is for me to greyshirt. That is the plan right now," he said. "I am fine with it. It will give me a chance to get bigger and stronger."
Harvey accepted Alabama's scholarship offer on August 26, 2004.
"The main reason I chose Alabama was because of the coaching staff," he said. Harvey was receiving interest from Tennessee and South Carolina when he chose the Tide.
Harvey was first-team all-state player in his senior season.
He reports a 3.0 grade point average and a score of 22 on the ACT.
