Florida DB Rogers Signs with Bama

Florida defensive back Chris Rogers signed with Alabama on Wednesday.

Chris Rogers, 6-0, 180 pounds, was a first team all-state player for Evangel Christian in Lakeland, Fla. He finished his season with 144 tackles, four interceptions, six forced fumbles, two pas break ups and 15 tackles for loss.

Rogers set the Pope County record with 22 career interceptions.

As a junior, Rogers recorded 65 tackles, 10 interceptions and four forced fumbles.

Rogers committed to Maryland early in the recruiting process, but ultimately made the decision to publicly commit to Alabama on January 12th.

Rogers reports a 3.7 grade point average and an SAT score of 820

Rogers said he plans to enroll at Alabama in June and play cornerback for the Tide.
