Alabama getting another quality Walk-On

Adam Thrash

Alabama is limited in scholarships, but the Tide is replenishing its numbers with scholarship quality walk-ons like Adam Thrash

Adam Thrash, 6'4", 210, QB, from Pulaski Academy/Little Rock, Arkansas, is headed to Alabama as a walk-on.

Adam Thrash brings with him some impressive stats with 3,975 yards passing/48 TDs, his junior year, and over 3500 yards passing and 45 TDs his senior year.

Thrash is sticking to the home-state (Arkansas) colors of red and white but has decided Alabama is where he wants to be this fall. "I was very interested from the very beginning and when I went there I just fell in love with Alabama," Thrash replied.

Alabama is definitely getting a winner. Thrash helped his team win the State Championship this year while setting a few state records in that game. Thrash said, "Most touchdowns in a championship game (7), 6 passing and 1 rushing; Most points scored by a team in a championship game(64). We won 64-32 and we had to end the game because of the mercy rule."

Thrash knows where he stands as a walk-on and said, "I went on an unofficial visit and they told me I will be the 4th guy (QB) and maybe I can earn a scholarship eventually."

Alabama's coaching staff have won Thrash's commitment as a walk-on. This can become very expensive for out-of-state tuition but Thrash has his heart set and said, "I really like Coach Shula and Coach Rader. Coach Shula is a real down-to-earth type guy. He is real easy to talk to unlike Coach Houston Nutt, who was real difficult to talk to."

Thrash was honored this year as Player of the Week, All-State, All-Conference, and Pre-Season All-American.

Thrash had offers from Louisiana-Monroe and a few DII schools but he is headed to the SEC to play football for the Crimson Tide.
