Mathis a mainstay at right tackle

Right tackle Evan Mathis, himself a starter in 31 consecutive games now, talked about the hard reality facing Bama's offensive line. <br><br>"There's not a lot of room for injury on the offensive line now," Mathis said.

A double fracture in Wesley Britt's lower left leg has sidelined him for the season, and right guard Dennis Alexander is hobbling around with a sprained ankle. That means Alabama is down to just six athletes with any playing experience up front.
