Super Tuesday Basketball All About SEC East

Anthony Grant

The Southeastern Conference and ESPN announced its Super Tuesday lineup for the 2015 SEC men’s basketball season and it is all about the Eastern Division. Of the nine games to be played on Tuesdays during the season, the East will provide 14 of the 18 teams.

Alabama was one of three SEC Western Division teams to make the cut. The Crimson Tide will host Florida on January 27. LSU from the West got two games, one against Florida and one against Kentucky.

The odds of getting a game against either the Gators or the Wildcats was pretty good. Kentucky will be on four of the nine broadcasts and Florida will be on three times.

Super Tuesday coverage begins Jan. 6 with Arkansas playing at Georgia and ends March 3 with Kentucky at Georgia.

Georgia and Missouri are on two telecasts as is LSU from the Western Division.

SEC West teams not selected for Super Tuesday telecasts are Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M. South Carolina is the only Eastern Division team left out.

Following the Jan. 6 Arkansas at Georgia game will be:

Jan. 13, Missouri at Kentucky.

Jan. 20, LSU at Florida.

Jan. 27, Florida at Alabama.

Feb. 3, Florida at Vanderbilt.

Feb. 10, Kentucky at LSU.

Feb. 17, Kentucky at Tennessee.

Feb. 24, Florida at Missouri.

March 3, Kentucky at Georgia.
