Here are the numbers that have been assigned to incoming Alabama freshmen who were not a part of spring practice, according to the media guide issued at SEC Media Days.
Cornerback Tony Brown wore No. 2 in the spring and continues in that number, as does wide receiver senior wide receiver DeAndrew White. Safety Laurence “Hootie” Jones is in No. 6, as he was in the spring, along with senior quarterback Blake Sims. Wide receiver Cam Sims was No. 7 in the spring, as is sophomore linebacker Ryan Anderson.
Da’Shawn Hand, freshman defensive end, will be No. 9, as will junior wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Transfer quarterback Jake Coker will be No. 14.
Cornerback Marlon Humphrey is No. 29.
Freshman linebacker Chrstian Miller will share No. 34 with senior walk-on linebacker Ryler Ownes.
Defensive lineman Johnny Dwight has been issued No. 37.
Freshman walk-on linebacker Gussie Busch of St. Louis is wearing No. 38.

Offensive lineman Josh Casher is No. 67.
Defensive lineman Josh Frazier is No. 69.
Junior college transfer defensive end/linebacker D.J. Pettway kept the No. 57 he had in the spring, while junior college transfer defensive lineman Jarran Reed, who was No. 90 in the spring, is now 1point3 – just kidding; he kept No. 90.
Freshman defensive lineman O.J. Smith was issued No. 91.
