"I think that is what makes our team good," Alabama Coach Jay Seawell said. "Our 1-5 players have given us quality starts all year, even the guy that doesn't count, is having a good start. I think that is the measure of a good team. I loved how the guys that didn't play their best in the morning, just regrouped."
Shelton opened with 72 but vaulted up the leader board with his second-round 65 to finish the day in a tie for 10th at 3-under 137. He reeled off four straight birdies on holes 5-8 and after two bogeys and a birdie on the back nine, eagled the par-5 17th, hitting his second shot to roughly a foot.

"I was really proud of Cory (Whitsett) and especially freshman Robby Shelton with a 65 in the afternoon," Seawell said. "We really, really needed that today."
Mullinax shot 72 in the second round and is 3-over 143 after 36 holes. Lovelady carded a 73 in round two and is even-par 140 headed into Sunday's third round. Wyatt's 74 was dropped from the team total in round two and he is even-par 140, tied for 39th.
