Recruits react to 'Bama's big haul

Alabama added four commitments, each rated four-stars on Scout, in about a one-hour span on Saturday and the news sent shockwaves through the recruiting world. Several Alabama commitments, targets and others going through the process commented on what it was like to see Nick Saban and company making as big of a splash in spring ball as it gets.

Alabama created a firestorm on social media on Saturday evening, as one commitment after another came in after dozens of prospects took in A-Day in Tuscaloosa.

In all, three Scout 100 members and another top 200 prospect in the country within the class of 2015 gave their verbal commitment to Nick Saban and company. Each is a four-star prospect, and the news rattled a lot of recruits at the time - and many shared their thoughts on the gaudy numbers Alabama secured en route to the No. 1 class in 2015.

Amid the commitments of Shawn Burgess-Becker, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Calvin Ridley and Leo Lewis, several of the following came in and BamaMag.com has some examples of what other top prospects were thinking.

Some didn't realize what happened until later in the night, which is what occurred with Florence (Ala.) linebacker Keaton Anderson. He traveled home shortly after the event and had little idea Alabama made such a splash.

"I didn't have a clue," Anderson said laughing. "I talked to Leo (Lewis) before; I knew he liked Alabama from a previous visit. We had casual talks about it, but I knew Alabama was definitely a one or a two for him."

Others expressed thoughts on Twitter.
