Jennings jumps on offer

Alabama offered Anfernee Jennings of Dadeville (Ala.) High on Saturday, and he has announced that he intends to sign with the Crimson Tide just five days later. The three-star is the third in-state commitment in the class of 2015.

Just five days ago, Anfernee Jennings landed an offer from Alabama, admitting it was "a huge accomplishment."

On Thursday, he took the next step in the process and announced his commitment to Nick Saban and company.

Jennings, an early three-star prospect on, told BamaMag recently that Kirby Smart plays a big role in his interest with the in-state program.

"I talk to Coach Kirby Smart," Jennings said. "He's a great man, I talk to him a few times. I would love to play for him, he makes me feel like I'm at home whenever I'm there."

Saban offered him the scholarship on Saturday, and America's No. 49 defensive end admitted that the process could be over shortly after.

Alabama now has eight class of 2015 commitments, including three along the defensive line.
