SEC Basketball Coaches Pick Releford

Alabama's Trevor Releford has been selected to the pre-season All-Southeastern Conference basketball team by the SEC's coaches.

The SEC unveiled its 10th annual men's basketball coaches preseason All-SEC first and second teams Friday, and it was no surprise that Alabama senior Trevor Releford was on the first team.

Releford, a 6-0, 190-pound guard from Kansas City, has been a star and an all-star since arriving at The Capstone.

He was the only Tide player named to the pre-season all-star teams by the coaches.

Seven different schools are represented on the two teams with Kentucky having five selections while Tennessee had three and Florida, LSU and Missouri each have two selections. In all, 37 different players received votes for the coaches' teams.

The coaches' preseason All-SEC first and second teams consist of a minimum of eight players on each squad, voted on by the SEC Head Men's Basketball Coaches. No ties were broken and no predicted order of finish was made.
