Lindsay Becomes Center of Attention

Alabama starting center Ryan Kelly suffered an injury in yesterday's SEC Western Division clash with the visiting Ole Miss Rebels. He stretched his MCL according to head coach Nick Saban. The redshirt sophomore may be unavailable for up to three weeks. Reserve Chad Lindsay was inserted into the lineup.

The redshirt junior from Texas (The Woodlands HS) realizes the significance of the opportunity to become a starter for the number one team in the nation. Chad Lindsay received extensive playing time last season due to the number of lopsided victories.

He had a key block in T.J. Yeldon's 68-yard third quarter blast up the middle for the Tide's first touchdown. Alabama (4-0) finished the night with 254 rushing yards on 40 attempts for a robust 6.3 average per carry in the 25-0 shutout of Ole Miss (3-1).

Lindsay spoke to reporters after the game.
