Dicky Pride Equals Own Course Record

Posted Jun 21, 2013

BamaMag.com caught up with Dicky Pride at the Travelers Championship golf tournament.

Dicky Pride equaled his course record established in 1996 and 2004, both in the fourth round, with a 67 today at the 2013 Travelers Championship held at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, (Conn.). Two birdies on the front nine and three on the back combined with a bogey on each led to the excellent performance. The score also represented his best first round ever at the Connecticut tournament by one stroke achieved in back-to-back appearances in 2001 and 2002.

‘BAMA Magazine/BamaMag.com caught up with the Tuscaloosa native after first round play. Among the subjects broached are the course, health, equipment adjustments and current state of the Alabama men’s golf program. Pride and 15 other golfers are tied for 18th.
