Jason Bohn Talks Golf And Scholarship

Posted Jun 21, 2013

BamaMag.com caught up with Jason Bohn at the Travelers Championship golf tournament.

Jason Bohn was one under par after the first nine holes today at the 2013 Travelers Championship held at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, (Conn.). The back nine was not as kind. He shot a bogey on the 10th and consecutive miscues at 16 and 17 led to a two over par finish at 72.

A 73 shot in 2006 and 76 recorded in 2012 of the 24 rounds at the course prior to Thursday represent the only times Bohn shot above today’s first round total. The engaging Lewisburg, Pennsylvania native and Alabama graduate was eager to speak with ‘BAMA Magazine/BamaMag.com. An appreciation for the Connecticut based tournament, goals for the season, praise for the current Alabama men’s golf program and a scholarship established last year were a few of the topics addressed in the conversation. Bohn and fellow Alabama golfer Justin Thomas along with 22 others are tied for 98th.
