Mavety 'fires up' Mario

Chad Mavety has come a long way since being overlooked in high school, now sporting one of the most impressive offer lists in the country. The spring evaluation period kicked up another notch on Thursday with perennial powers, including Alabama, in town to see him in person. All he did was impress.

At 6-foot-6, 320 pounds, it's tough to sneak up on anybody. But coming out of high school, that's exactly what offensive tackle prospect Chad Mavety did. Without the interests and scholarship offers he wanted from college programs, he hit the Junior College ranks in search of a second chance at being a top-notch recruit. It worked.
