Despite verbal scholarship offers from all over America, Montgomery (Ala.) Carver linebacker Shaun Hamilton will play his college ball in the Southeastern Conference.
The only remaining question is where within the SEC he'll suit up for the next four years or so.
The public gets to find out on Wednesday, as Hamilton will hold a press conference at the school, expected to begin at 11:30 a.m. local time (CST).
Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee will be the three hats on the table for the announcement, although the 6-foot-1, 222-pounder informed Scout.com that he's already come to a decision as of Monday.
Auburn was one of his initial offers, and was considered the early favorite considering the Tigers signed Hamilton's class of 2013 teammate Jeremy Johnson - who has admitted to actively recruiting his close friend.
Tennessee jumped into the mix as well, and he's been on the campus multiple times of late.
As for Alabama, the offer didn't come from Nick Saban until late February. However, the Crimson Ride staff has been working diligently to close any gaps that existed with the in-state standout in a short time. Alabama hosted Hamilton last week for the final time, before he wrapped up the week at nearby Auburn.
FOX Sports NEXT/Scout.com currently considers Hamilton as the No. 18 middle linebacker prospect nationally. The junior would be the first linebacker pledge in the class of 2014 for either of the three finalists.
