Ten Alabama players have been invited to this year's NFL Scouting Combine, which will take place Feb. 20-26 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
Defensive linemen Quinton Dial, Damion Square and Jesse Williams, offensive linemen D.J. Fluker, Barrett Jones and Chance Warmack, linebacker Nico Johnson, running back Eddie Lacy and defensive backs Dee Milliner and Robert Lester all received combine invitations.
Jones, who had surgery to repair several torn ligaments in his foot just days after the national championship, won't be able to participate, as he'll be out a few months recovering.
The NFL Scouting Combine is comprised of physical tests, such as the 40-yard dash and vertical jump, and mental ones, too, that take place when NFL brass gets players one-on-one.
Workouts are separated by position, with the special teams, tight ends and offensive linemen starting Saturday, Feb. 23, followed by the quarterbacks, wide receivers and running backs on Sunday, Feb. 24, the defensive linemen and linebackers on Monday, Feb. 25, and the defensive backs on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
For those who were not invited to the combine (like tight end Michael Williams) or for those who choose not to participate or don't like the numbers they clock, Alabama will host its own Pro Day, which is expected to be on Wednesday, March 13.
