Alabama’s 2013 softball team, picked to repeat as Southeastern Conference and national champion, had three upcoming players – two juniors and a senior – selected to the sixth annual Preseason All-SEC Team.

Alabama senior outfielder Kayla Braud of Eugene, Ore., was selected for the third consecutive year. She was joined by Crimson Tide teammates Kaila Hunt, a junior shortstop from Evans, Ga., and Jackie Traina, a junior pitcher from Naples, Fla.

The team was selected by the 13 SEC head coaches.

Tennessee, which received the second highest number of coaches’s votes to Bama as the preseason choice to win the SEC, had four players selected to the honor squad, including senior infielder Raven Chavanne of Thousand Oaks, Calif., who is also making her third appearance on the pre-season team.

Texas A&M had two players selected and Auburn, LSU, and Ole Miss had one each.

The 2013 team consists of seven seniors, four juniors, and a sophomore.
