Foster announces for Alabama

After playing his recruitment as as close to the vest as it gets, an emotional Robert Foster announced his intent to play college football at Alabama on Friday afternoon.

Robert Foster kicked off his Christmas break in style, as the five-star prospect announced his college decision at his high school Friday afternoon.

Foster had his choice of any school he wanted. He narrowed his choices to Pittsburgh and Alabama last month, after taking official visits to both schools. On Friday, an Foster chose the Crimson Tide.

"I want to thank my whole high school, I'll always rep my high school wherever I'm at." Foster added.

Foster gives the Tide a third wide receiver in the class of 2013, joining Ardarius Stewart and Raheem Falkins. The talented senior made the announcement at the school cafeteria.

Foster remained emotional throughout the brief press conference, taking the microphone after his mother addressed the crowd wearing a Pitt sweatshirt.

"I love you all and I want to do it for the Valley," He said.

Foster will play in next Monty's Under Armour All-American Bowl in St. Petersburg, Florida.
