Clowney sacks two SEC awards

The Southeastern Conference has selected South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney as its defensive lineman of the week and its co-defensive player of the week.

Jadeveon Clowney's big performance in South Carolina's 27-17 win over Clemson did not go unnoticed.

When the Southeastern Conference announced their weekly awards Monday, Clowney had two of them.

The sophomore was selected as the league's defensive lineman of the week and its co-defensive player of the week.

Clowney recorded 4.5 sacks and seven tackles against the Tigers.

He also broke the single-season sack record against Clemson with 13 on the year.
