The initial BCS standings are out and it's no surprise who's sitting at No. 1--the 6-0 Alabama Crimson Tide.
Bama is also No. 1 in the country in scoring defense (7.5 yards per game), rushing defense (55.33 ypg), passing defense (125.8 ypg) and total defense (181.2 ypg), and is beating opponents by an average of 33 points per game.
Florida comes in at No. 2 and LSU is the highest-ranked one-loss team coming in at No. 6.
Future Tide opponents Mississippi State and Texas A&M come in at Nos. 12 and 19, respectively.
The BCS standings are determined by a three-part equation: the USA TODAY/Coaches poll, the Harris Interactive Poll and the average rankings of six computer polls.
Alabama was also a unanimous No. 1 in both the AP and Coaches' polls released earlier Sunday morning.
