A 38-minute rain delay caused a brief drop in momentum for Alabama, but it quickly regained control of the game and beat Missouri 42-10 to remain a perfect 6-0.

Quick hits from Alabama's 42-10 victory over Missouri.

1. No. 1 Alabama (6-0, 3-0 SEC) got off to a fast start, per usual, when running back Eddie Lacy bolted for a 73-yard touchdown 45 seconds into the game. That was the fastest the Crimson Tide has scored this season, and the third time this year they’ve scored in under two minutes.

The Tide would quickly take a 27-0 lead, but then the referees called for a rain delay due to lightening with 8:40 remaining in the second quarter.

Thirty-eight minutes later, Alabama and Missouri (3-4, 0-4) resumed play, but the Tide looked sloppy and allowed the Tigers to score 10 unanswered points.

Of course, the Tide would regain momentum and finish with a 42-10 victory.

2. Lacy had himself a day, touching the ball 20 times for 193 yards (176 rushing) and three touchdowns. It was the second time this season the junior has rushed over 100 yards.

He and true freshman running back T.J. Yeldon combined to run for 320 yards and five touchdowns.

True freshman Kenyan Drake came in the fourth quarter and ran four times for 11 yards and scored his fourth touchdown of the season.

Alabama had a total of six rushing touchdowns and outran Mizzou 351-26.

3. Quarterback A.J. McCarron, who went 16 of 21 of 171 yards, almost gave Alabama fans—and probably head coach Nick Saban—a heart attack when he was sacked in the third quarter. He looked shaken up and had to be helped off the field by trainers. Saban said after the game that McCarron twisted his knee, but toughed it out by returning to the field on the next drive.

Additionally, McCarron has now completed 227 passes without an interception. He broke Brodie Croyle’s mark of 190 against Ole Miss two weeks ago.

4. Alabama continued to turn turnovers into touchdowns against Missouri. Safety Vinnie Sunseri picked off Tigers quarterback Corbin Berkstresser in the first quarter and the Tide scored on the ensuing possession when Lacy hopped over a crowded goal line to put Bama up 14-0.

The Tide has now scored 91 points off 17 turnovers this season.

5. Also of note, Alabama finally gave up its first field goal of the season.
