Practice Report: 10/8

Linebacker/H-back Brent Calloway moved to running back, wide receiver Kevin Norwood was much more active and a few other notes from Alabama's practice the Monday before heading to Missouri.

The temperature was an amazing, crisp 61 degrees Monday afternoon as Alabama began preparing for Missouri, aka unchartered SEC territory for the Crimson Tide.

The media was granted one period to watch practice. Here are a few observations:

--Alabama is without running backs Jalston Fowler and Dee Hart thanks to season-ending knee injuries. Earlier at his press conference Monday morning, head coach Nick Saban said that two other players—linebacker/H-back Brent Calloway and quarterback Blake Sims—will probably come in and take reps in the backfield.

During the viewing period, Calloway was indeed with the running backs, but Sims remained with the QBs.

--Wide receiver Kevin Norwood (foot), who was limited last week, looked to be running routes and participating as normal.

--Cornerback Deion Belue (shoulder) was not wearing the no-contact jersey he was sporting last week. Saban said earlier that all players who didn't practice last week would practice today, which seemed to be the case.
