Practice Report: 10/2

Amari Cooper

Alabama lost wide receiver DeAndrew White and running back Dee Hart to season-ending knee injuries Saturday. Has the Crimson Tide figured out who will take their respective spots yet?

Alabama beat Ole Miss 33-14 over the weekend, but suffered a few casualties in the process, losing starting wide receiver DeAndrew White and running back Dee Hart to season-ending knee injuries.

Luckily the Crimson Tide head into a bye week to sort out who will step up and take on those roles.

The media was granted one period to watch practice Tuesday, here are a few observations:

-It didn't appear that anyone new was working at running back for the injured Hart. The order during drills was Eddie Lacy, T.J. Yeldon, Ben Howell, Kenyan Drake and then some walk-ons. (Video below.)

-As far as wide receivers go, true freshman Amari Cooper, who caught eight passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns Saturday night, was the first one in line among the ‘X' receivers. Behind him was redshirt freshman Marvin Shinn and walk-on Nathan McAlister.

-Ed Stinson, who headed to the locker room a few minutes before the end of Saturday's game, was working with the defensive line as usual. His "injury" was likely just a cramp.
